Description
Monarch butterfly feasting on, I believe, verbena in August, I suppose fueling up for a long flight. The wings remind me of stained 'Tiffany' glass. and I like them against the tiny pink flowers and green bokeh.

Byron, How do capture so many butterfly images? Do you buy them? Or you just have so many flowers, they just come? I wonder if I don't have any because I have soooo many birds in my yard? Anyways, gorgeous photo...VFG+

Kym, thanks so much! Actually, there seem to be fewer and fewer butterflies around here as the years go on---I saw only a couple on our butterfly bush last year and did not have my camera handy when I did. I have to travel and hang out in large gardens to see just a few, then chase them! In 1995 just one butterfly bush would have dozens visiting all the time! :(
