Description
Triumph Tulips are the result of crosses between Single Early Tulips and some of the later-flowering varieties. They are the largest class of tulips and are considered by many the most important. They come in every possible shade of color possible for tulips and are prized for their beautiful traditional shape. They have sturdy stems, which allows them to stand up well in bad weather, and they make excellent cut flowers, as they have a long vase life. Some have fragrance, and they are considered the best type of tulip for indoor forcing. The tulips photographed in this image are of the Negrita variety, and I love the color combination, especially the inclusion of startling blue markings. The accompanying foliage is light green coleous.
