Thanks so much, Cheri! (did you notice that almost nobody, including the winners, submitted images that adhered to the contest rules: to show TWO stages of a flower's life?) : )
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Looks like I interpreted the rules too tightly, so, my apologies to the winners and most of the rest. :)

Byron, beautiful capture of something so fleeting. Voted in the Floral Stages Contest. v

A most excellent portrait of this gorgeous morning glory, Byron. Some people think of these as pests but I like them.
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks much, Karen. I know these may be labelled as invasive, but I've been planting a few seeds each May for years and have never seen them re-seed themselves. I am careful to dispose of the seeds in bags.

Oh to be back in September again, with flowers still blooming, would surely beat the frigid winds and snow! This is a delightful and cheery shot to see during the wintery months. Nicely captured and love the angle of ascension. Thanks for sharing the warming shot, Byron!
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Less than 8 months to go!:-) I don't blame you, Randy, Wisconsin Winters much more heavy duty than Philadelphia! Thanks so much for your appreciative comment!
