Description
Small hardy waterlilies (temperate zone) and large tropical water lilies. A wonderful playground for fish and especially frogs (get that, Oiyee? ^.^) Photographed on September 30, in a marvelous Pennsylvania water garden. Lotus leaves are in background on right side, terrestrial plants in far background beyond pond.

Those are the most gigantic lily pads! Beautiful composition and capture.
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks much, Kristin! I'm told they could hold one hundred pounds or so. Getting on would be tricky though, as they're armed with sharp spikes!

It must be fabulous garden Byron! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous photograph of water lilies!
Byron Varvarigos replied:
It is, Christine, an outdoors part of Longwood Gardens...which means it won't be displaying much longer this year. Thanks much for your lovely compliment!
