Description
Lovely Spring flowers against a faded stucco wall. Persian Buttercups (ranunculus asiaticus) and Snapdragons (antirrhinum). Ranunculus asiaticus, the Persian Buttercup, is native to the eastern Mediterranean region of Europe, Asia and Africa. It is a protected plant in some regions. Although the species has single red or yellow flowers, today’s hybrid strains feature gorgeous double blossoms in a range of lovely colors, whites, yellows, oranges, pinks, and reds. Cultivation goes back to the seventeenth century, when the first plants were brought to Western Europe. These plants are hardy down to about 23 degrees F, grow about 8-10 inches tall and produce blooms 3-4 inches in diameter.
Snapdragons comprise about 36 species, ranging in height from 6-48 inches. They are native to rocky areas of Europe, N.Africa and USA. They are available in a range of lovely colors including white, yellow, Pink, orange, red, and purple.

Beautiful display of gorgeous floral arrangement, Byron! I love snapdragons and am not familiar with the other, however they make a great combo in shape and color together! Nicely presented!
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks so much for your lovely compliment, Randy! Ranunculus are a popular garden flower, around here. They look like roses and come in wonderfully bright, intense colors.

That stucco wall makes the perfect textured BG for those incredibly beautiful flowers Byron; very nice dof, color and light - congratulations on the well deserved features! Joyce
