Member of the Lily family, the genus tricyrtis, native to East Asia, comprises about 20 species and a growing number of cultivars. These lovely, hardy, quarter-size T.Formosana flowers bloom in September and October, lending brightness and interest to gardens and providing nectar for butterflies, bees, etc.

I love these little toad lilies. They are very late bloomers and I anxiously await for them to bloom. Although very small they are so interesting in their coloring and details. This is very lovely, great lighting! vtd

Thanks so much, Rosanne! I love them but find it difficult to get good images because of their small size, intricacy, and movement with the breeze, which is usually blowing in Autumn.: )
