Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks much, Guy, can't wait 'till the weather gets a bit more sultry! : )

Love this! So beautiful. I don't know that I've seen Queen Anne's Lace around here. Could have, but just didn't know what I was looking at.
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Carolyn, thanks so much! QAL grows wild throughout the USA (naturalized from Eurasia) edible when young, considered a pest weed in some areas (so you've probably seen it). ^.^

nice one Byron, love the contrast between the butterfly and the Queen Anne's Lace - also thank you for teaching me the proper names of respectively the butterfly and plant :)))
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks much for your appreciation, Dean! So, here's another bit of nature info from this photo: the butterfly is a female. :-)

Wonderful capture and image, Byron. Now that it is turning cold where I live I will certainly revisit this image on those sub zero days. F&V
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks much, Bruce! I was feeling nostalgic for Summer when I posted this---and your weather is even harsher than ours here in Philly--hope this warms your spirit! :-)
