Description
This is the Dusky Queen cultivar of Chrysanthemum Morifolium, popularly known as Spider Mum. The yellow to gold flowers are lovely and large, up to about ten inches across. Mums were cultivated in ancient China, the flowers brewed as a tea and the leaves cooked as greens, up to present times. When brought to Europe they were given the name derived from Greek, chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower). Lovely to behold, and perhaps to eat and drink?
