Description
I photographed these lovely flowers floating in a birdbath (the flowers floating not I) in the magnificent Chanticleer garden, in Wayne, Pennsylvania, on April 12, 2014. Poppy in center encircled by daffodils and lenten roses. Handheld in ambient shady light, unaltered except for minimal brightness/contrast, sharpening. adjustments. .......Spring seems to be here a week or two later than it was last year, because of the bountiful Winter snow storms. Hope you like the photo and also perhaps my attempt at humor! I haven't been taking many photos this year and probably won't before June, as I'm scheduled to have spinal fusion surgery done at the end of April to correct damage that has severely limited my walking, over the past year. Looking forward to more happy wandering soon! Thanks to all who have been visiting my images lately, please forgive my reduced level of reciprocation these days. Best wishes to all! : )

Byron, very cool imagery. The flowers floating on top of the water gives a beautiful effect. -L/F -Sally porter Meta Expressionist

What a spectacular image. Wow I have never seen anything like this so very beautiful. v/f and tweet!
Byron Varvarigos replied:
Thanks so much, Mary Lou! I am always surprised and delighted by what the gardeners at Chanticleer put in the 'birdbath', which are usually in motion due to the breeze. I did rearrange these, pushing the flowers around in the water with my fingers , which itself was fun! :-)

A lovely presentation, Byron. Very skillfully executed, despite your current circumstances. Great work. V/F

Oh, Byron, I'm so sorry to read that you are due for more surgery (after your cataract surgeries that I also just read about!)! I wish you so much luck with that, my friend!!!! I hope all goes wonderfully and that you are out and about walking around better than ever very soon!! Maybe even running! :) I had a cervical spinal fusion at 3 levels several years ago. And, lol, I'm glad that it was the flowers that were floating in the birddbath and not you! :) You might have been a little big for the birdbath! :) I love this image, Byron.....It's truly gorgeous!! What stunning flowers....that you captured just perfectly!!!! :))))fv
